Well at least that is how the Houston Texans felt after they won their third game of the 2020 NFL season to improve to 3-7 against the New England Patriots by a score of 27-20. The Texans opened the retractable roof at NRG Stadium for the first time since November 30, 2014 and the Texans took full advantage of great football weather in Houston.

The Houston Astros gets what seems to be a rarity during the beginning of a 20-game in 20-days schedule as they get a quick three-game home stand against the Baltimore Orioles. Houston went 5-2 including a three-game sweep of the Orioles where they outscored Baltimore 26-3 on their last road trip.

Houston Rockets lose preseason game at home to the San Antonio Spurs.

The Rockets looked jet lagged from the time spent in Japan playing two preseason games against the reigning NBA Champions, Toronto Raptors. They lost to the San Antonio Spurs 128 – 114 in their final preseason game at home. Houston (3-2) will open up the 2019-20 NBA season against the Milwaukee Bucks next Thursday.

Texans look to bounce back after tough loss on Monday night

The Houston Texans look to rebound after such a heartbreaking loss to the New Orleans Saints on Monday night (30 -28) in the Mercedes Benz Superdome. Houston will take on AFC South divisional rival, Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at NRG Stadium in their first home game of the 2019 NFL season. The Texans look to make it three- straight against the Jags after winning the last two meetings (20-7, 20-3).

Offensive Explosion: Houston Texans Move Into Tie for First Place By Scoring a Franchise High in Points

The Houston Texans ranked next to last in 2016 in the first half scoring in at 8.6 points. They scored 30 points in the first half in this past Sunday’s game. They ended up winning the game in a convincing fashion, (57-14) and put the rest of the AFC South on notice that they are here to stay. This was the most points scored by the Texans in a game in franchise history (previous record was 45 against the same Titans team back in 2014).

After waiting for over an hour due to inclement weather, Prairie View A&M and Texas Southern were finally able to open their 2022 season in the annual Labor Day Classic. If there was any heart felt feelings towards the organization that drafted Rockets All-Star guard James Harden and NBA veteran forward Jeff Green you could not tell once they took the floor in their first-round matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2020 NBA Playoffs in Orlando. The Rockets defeated the Thunder 123-108 to take the first game of the best-of-seven series.

Astros road woes continue in 6-0 loss to A’s

In a short 60-game season, multiple game losing streaks sticks out like a sore thumb. For the Houston Astros, a team that has been plagued by multiple injuries this season, they have picked the worst possible time to standout as they are in the midst of a five-game losing streak. Their woes continued on Monday night as they dropped another game back in the standings by losing to the A.L. West division leaders Oakland A’s. Houston (21-20) lost to Oakland (24-14) by a score of 6-0 in Oakland. That brings the Astros road record to 5-14 away from Minute Maid Park.

The Astros used a strong first inning offensive outburst to defeat the Mariners 11-1 on Friday night at Minute Maid Park.
